Rawalpindi: Skipper Mohammad Rizwan’s fifty and Iftikhar Ahmed’s unbeaten knock at the backend have led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to 187/5 against Central Punjab in second match of the National T20 Cup.
Rizwan continued his rich form in the shortest format, scoring 40-ball 65. His opening partner Fakhar Zaman made 26 off 23.
The 31-year-old Iftikhar scored a crucial 40* off 25 balls while Mohammad Wasim Jr. made 7-ball 11. Adil Amin and Sahibzada Farhan scored 18 and 12 respectively.
For CP, Hasan Ali was among the pick of the bowlers, bagging 3/30 in four overs. Wahab Riaz and Ahmed Safi Abdullah picked a wicket each.
