The 59-year-old Ramiz was elected unopposed as the new head of the country’s cricket board in a special Board of Governors (BoG) meeting under PCB’s Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sheikh Azmat Saeed.
He took charge officially and made important announcements in his press conference. He affirmed that Pakistan will not run behind India to play bilateral cricket.
“Impossible right now because the sporting model has been spoiled by politics & right now it’s a status quo. We are not in a hurry on this issue because our main focus is to address problems at the domestic, club and school level.”
