Karachi: Retired Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has turned down the domestic central contract offered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), reports suggested.
According to details, PCB didn’t inform the 29-year-old before including him in the A category where a player will get PKR185,000 monthly. Amir suggested PCB to offer the contract to a youngster instead of him.
Remember, PCB announced domestic central contracts for 191 players earlier today with an increase in salaries up to PKR 100,000 in each category.
It must be noted that Amir announced his retirement in December 2020 citing he can’t play under the previous management of Misbah-ul-Haq. Since then, he has been regularly playing in franchise leagues all over the world.
