LAHORE: Pakistan women team’s selector, Marina Iqbal has resigned from his post as she aims to excel in the world of cricket commentary and broadcasting.
In details released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Marina has stepped down from her post to concentrate more on cricket broadcasting. The current national women team’s selection committee was appointed in 2019 and Urooj Mumtaz was made the head with Marina and Asmavia Iqbal under her.
“It has been an honour to serve as a member of the national women’s selection committee which provided another great learning opportunity to me. I have made this decision to give more time to cricket commentary following my induction in the ICC future leaders programme. I felt that in my current role as a national selector, it was difficult to carry out the two roles simultaneously,” Marina stated.
