Pakistan off to a good start at WTC’s points table

DUBAI: Pakistan has gained a top position at International Cricket Council (ICC)’s World Test Champion (WTC)’s points table after England beat India in the third Test. 

England made an impressive comeback from the defeat at Lord’s and rattled India in every department to level the five-matches series 1-1. The English side saw an emphatic win over Indians by an innings and 76 runs.

India (14 points) dropped down to the third position with a win, loss, and drawn contest followed by England at fourth with the same position and points. The two teams have two penalty overs each.

Pakistan are at the top and West Indies follow them on the points table at second. Pakistan and West Indies held two-matches Test series drew 1-1.

It is pertinent to mention here that the inaugural WTC was won by New Zealand against India at Southampton.
