ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported fewer than 100 Covid-19 cases, the first time in nearly three months as the country lodged almost 99 fresh infections in past 24 hours, ARY News reported on Tuesday, quoting the National Institute of Health (NIH).
According to the statistics issued by the National Institute of Health (NIH), as many as 9,161 Covid-19 diagnostic tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, out of which 99 came back positive.

The number of critical patients has also dropped to 89 while one death was reported after two days. The last time Pakistan reported fewer than 100 cases was on June 17, 2022.
Meanwhile, the national positivity rate has surged past 1pc, higher than 0.78 recorded a day earlier. The number of patients in critical care shrunk, which stood at 89 on Tuesday compared to 105 a day earlier.
It is pertinent to mention here that a total of over 1.5 million Covid-19 cases have been reported in Pakistan so far, while the total number of coroanvirus-related deaths has reached 30,602.
