Lahore: The national men’s cricket team will leave for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on October 15 to take part in ICC T20 World Cup, ARY Sports reported.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the squad will leave Lahore on a chartered flight to participate in the competition.
Meanwhile, the players participating in the National T20 Cup will move from one bubble to another after the conclusion of the tournament. The final of the National T20 Cup will be played on October 13.
On the other hand, sports staff will gather in Lahore on October 8 and will undergo mandatory quarantine for seven days at a local hotel.
Bowling consultant Vernon Philander will arrive in Lahore on October 7 while batting consultant Matthew Hayden will join the national squad in the UAE.
The mega event will start from October 17 with qualifiers while the Super 12s will commence from October 23.
Pakistan will start their campaign against India on October 24 in Dubai. They will play two warm-up games on October 18 and 20 against West Indies and South Africa respectively.
