KARACHI: Former Pakistan’s cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has become the most successful captain in the T20 format in the country.
With his team Sindh’s last win in the ongoing National T20 Cup, Sarfaraz surpassed experienced Shoaib Malik to become the most successful captain in the shorter format.
He has won 86 matches out of 140 with a win percentage of 61.4 followed by Shoaib’s 63.9%.

It must be noted here that Sarfaraz led Pakistan to Champions Trophy triumph in 2017. Also, under his captaincy, Pakistan won record 11 T20I series consecutively. He also captained the Pakistan team who won the ICC U19 World Cup in 2006.
