No Covid death in Sindh as Karachi cases decline

KARACHI: The Sindh province on Friday reported zero COVID-related death with Karachi also witnessing a declining trend of virus cases, ARY NEWS reported quoting figures shared by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.   

The chief minister in a routine briefing on COVID situation said that the province reported 353 virus cases during the last 24 hours besides also reporting zero deaths in the period.

“305 more patients have recovered today,” Murad Ali Shah said adding that currently, 218 patients of COVID-19 are in critical condition.

He further shared that Karachi that has usually led the cases in the province with nearly 50 percent of the tally, reported only 68 out of 353 COVID-19 cases from the province.

This is not the first time that Sindh has reported zero death as recently after a gap of six months, the province reported zero COVID-19 death on October 26.

According to the report, the Sindh province has recorded 342 new cases of coronavirus and 133 recoveries in a day, whereas, no death was reported during the past 24 hours.

The death toll stood at 7,551 in Sindh, whereas, the province conducted 14,377 detection tests today.

According to the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, no more patient of COVID-19 lost their lives. The death rate due to COVID-19 is 1.6 percent.
