Wasim Khan optimistic England will come to Pakistan

Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s CEO, Wasim Khan is optimistic over England touring Pakistan next month for T20Is in Rawalpindi.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB)’s spokesperson said that they are liaising with its security team after New Zealand unilaterally canceled Pakistan tour due to a security alert.

“England are coming for a very short tour and I hope they keep an open mind. We will speak to them in the next 48 hours. They will go through their own processes. I would be disappointed if they pull out but it is a decision for the ECB to make,” Wasim Khan.

It must be noted that England will play two T20Is at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on 13 and 14 October.

England women team will also play as many T20Is against Pakistan women on the same day. Both teams will arrive in Islamabad on October 9.

The men’s squad will depart for Dubai for T20 World Cup on 15 October while women will stay back for the three ODIs to be played on 17, 19 and 21 October.
