Ramiz also opined similar thoughts in April this year while talking in the ARY News program ‘Sports Room’.
“I think all the things related to the senior team, U19 cricket, A team, academies, first-class coaches should be overseen by a team director,” he said.
On the other hand, PCB’s director commercial Babar Hameed could be in trouble after PCB didn’t arrange a decision review system (DRS) for the ODI series against New Zealand.
As a result, the series was ruled out of ICC World Cup Super League and will now be considered as a ‘bilateral contest’.
Ramiz in his first press conference as PCB chief on Monday in Lahore expressed his displeasure over this development, and while answering a question said he would personally look into this.
