PAKvsNZ: Three ODIs excluded from ICC World Cup Super League

LAHORE: Three ODIs between Pakistan and New Zealand are now not a part of ICC Cricket World Cup Super League fixtures as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) failed to arrange Decision Review System (DRS).

According to the details, DRS is a requirement as per the ICC rules for playing conditions. But, PCB failed to arrange the technology due to certain reasons. So, this ODI series will be a bilateral series between the two countries.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) and PCB agreed that two Tests and three ODIs between the two teams in 2022-23 season in Pakistan will now count towards the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 qualification.

It must be noted here that New Zealand are coming to Pakistan after almost 18 years to play white-ball cricket. They have reached Islamabad today. Three ODIs are scheduled for September 17, 19, and 21.
