DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Local fighter Hamza won the main event in the Lions MMA Fighting Championship here on Tuesday.
The championship featured several fighters from the host city, Waziristan, Bannu, Peshawar, Noushera, Sibbi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujar Khan, and Swat.
Followed by Hamza, another local fighter Zeeshan won the co-main event in the championship. Apart from senior’s categories, children also took part in fighting competitions which were highly praised by the spectators.
According to event organizer Irfan Mehsud, this championship was organized without any sponsor. “We didn’t have any sponsor for this championship. I borrowed some money from friends to host this event which saw the immense fighting talent of our country,” he said.
