KARACHI: The third edition of the Chief of the Naval Staff All Pakistan Hockey Tournament will start tomorrow [September 21] here at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium.
In a press briefing here at the same venue on Monday, Commodore Kashif Munir (Patron – Pakistan Navy Hockey) alongside Olympians Nasir Ali, Samiullah, and Hanif Khan announced the details of the event.
As many as eight teams including WAPDA, NBP, NAVY, MPCL, PAF, PUNJAB, ARMY, PQA will participate in the event which concludes on September 28. This event is taking place after two years.
Governor Sindh – Imran Ismail will inaugurate the event tomorrow.
Speaking on the occasion, Commodore Kashif thanked Naval Chief for supporting hockey. “I would like to thank Naval Chief for always supporting and promoting hockey in the country. Moreover, the Navy has always supported different sports in Pakistan and our athletes have represented the country at different international levels,” he said.
