46th National Snooker Championship kicks off October 1 in Karachi

KARACHI: The 46th edition of the National Snooker Championship will start from October 1 here at Karachi Gymkhana, Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) announced in a press conference on Monday. 

In a 12-day long event, 56 players from four provinces and Islamabad will compete with Mohammad Asif defending his title. Six Jr players from U17 and U21 championships have also been included in the players’ roster.

These players are divided into eight groups, two players from each group will qualify for Pre-Quarters.

Qualifying round matches will be played on seven frames, Pre-Quarters and Quarters will be played on nine frames, Semi-finals will be based on 11 frames whereas the final contest will have a competition on 13 frames.
