PAKvsAFG ODI series in jeopardy after SL impose 10-days lockdown

KARACHI: Three-ODI series between Pakistan and Afghanistan has come into danger after Sri Lanka imposed a countrywide lockdown due to prevailing COVID-19.

According to the details, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has contacted Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) to tell them about the newly-imposed lockdown in the country.

SLC has told ACB about taking permission from the Sri Lankan government before confirming their series against Pakistan, scheduled from September 1-5 in Hambantota.

It is pertinent to mention here that PCB postponed their training camp and announcement of the squad as ACB didn’t release the tour’s schedule and training plan.
