Karachi: Pakistan’s Syed Imaad Ali has won the World Youth Scrabble Championship, claiming the world title for the second time.
Imaad previously won this championship in 2018 in Dubai. He became the first player in the world to win the World Youth Title twice.
With this victory, he has become the most successful scrabble player in Pakistan. He has won three world titles so far. He won the Wespa Youth Cup twice and the Junior World Championship once
He defeated his rival in nine of the 13 games in the finals. Pakistan’s Hisham Hadi Khan finished fourth after winning seven games, while the top ten players played 13 games in the two-day finals.
It must be noted that Pakistan hosted World Youth Cup for the second time and it was played online.
