‘Never showcased my reservations on social media’ Imad Wasim

KARACHI: National cricketer Imad Wasim said he never discussed his exclusion from the national team on social media despite immense disappointment.

Speaking to a local cricket website, Imad said he didn’t know the reason behind his exclusion but he has always respected the decision of selectors.

“I don’t know why I was dropped from the side. But that’s the decision of the selectors, coaches, and captain and I have to accept it,” he shared.

“I want to play ODI cricket as I think I can still serve Pakistan in the format, hopefully, I will do that in the near future,” he said.

Imad said that playing only two to three ODIs since 2019 has affected his ranking.

“My rankings in the list of ODI all-rounders has gone down from three to seven because I haven’t played over the past year. Still, I have never showcased my reservations on social media,” he concluded.

It must be noted here that Imad has been named among 26 players who were called by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for a white-ball training camp, starting tomorrow.
