Live: Fawad Alam hits century as Pakistan rebuild

Jamaica: Left-handed batter Fawad Alam continued to show his dominance as registered fifth Test ton on Day three of second Pakistan-West Indies Test here at Sabina Park.

After suffering from cramps on Day one, Fawad returned to the crease and resumed his innings of 76 runs.

Earlier, the hosts managed to remove three Pakistani batters after play was resume for a second time on Sunday afternoon. When play eventually started, only eight balls were bowled.

West Indies bowler Jason Holder, operating from that troublesome southern end, struggled through the first two deliveries of his over before getting the support of his captain, Kraigg Brathwaite, over his concern about the conditions.

The action was suspended following lengthy deliberations involving the on-field umpires, both captains, coaches and the match referee.

Play resumed at 1 pm local time after the two teams had taken lunch. Pakistan have resumed their first innings at 212 for four.

Jayden Seales dismissed Faheem Ashraf with Holder removing Mohammad Rizwan and Nauman Ali. Fawad was joined by Hasan Ali, taking Pakistan total to 261/7 in 100 overs.
